F255 alloy
The F255 alloy offers high strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The F255 alloy is also known as Super Duplex or Ferralium® Alloy 255. This alloy is referred to as a "super alloy".
In situations where normal stainless steel is not adequate, the F255 alloy can be used. Examples include chemical, marine, metallurgical, petrochemical and nuclear industries.

The advantages of F255
Because F255 alloy is stronger than stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant alloys, the use of this material can potentially save on cost and weight. Due to the addition of copper, this alloy can withstand many corrosive chemicals (sulfuric, nitric and phosphoric acid). It can also be used in seawater and other chloride-containing environments. F255 has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
